according to the CyberKnife Society, because the high-energy beamed x-rays that the CyberKnife delivers are extremely precise and treatment is fractionated, “ ... CyberKnife minimizes the radiation to healthy cells and therefore reduces the chance for adverse side effects and the continual growth of the tumor” (Cyberknife Society, 2009).
